Skew detection method for bill image based on directional projection

According to the property that most bill images have the form lines, a new skew detection method based on directional projection was presented, using Bresenham's integer only line drawing algorithm. Then, the new method was compared with the Hough transform method. Experiment results show that the new method can measure out the slanting degree of a bill image efficiently and accurately with high noise endurance and application adaptability.
