our research uses the silica gel to treat waterlogged painted woodware, the surface of unearthed waterlogged earcuplacquer and boxlacquer was wiped with 75% alcohol cotton ball, analysed with scatheless examination for their xylem by soft Xray, punched with electric spark, then put into the dry salver in the container,at the same time, added some colour silica gels, replacing silica gel 25g each time per 810days again and again until the colour of silica gel unchanged and lacquer's weight reached a balance. The results showed that each lacquer's weight had reduced 121g on the average, and the dehydrolyzing rate was 140% for earcuplacquer, and 120% for the boxlacquer. This method only needs simple equipment and is easy to operate. So it is very convenient to popularize and apply.
