A Study of Language Acquisition from the Perspective of Construction Grammar

This paper discusses the process of language acquisition from the perspective of Construction Grammar,especially as embodied in the approaches of Goldberg in general,Croft's radical construction grammar and usage based model by which children learn,generalize and use their linguistic constructions.Based on the discussion,this paper admits that construction grammar can account for children's language acquisition better than UG.
