A Misunderstanding of Determining Inclusion Relation of Random Events

Zhuang Liu · Mianyang Shifan Xueyuan xuebao · 2011

This paper is to,by analyzing relationships between zero-probability events and impossible events, and that between one-probability events and certain events, introduce an easily happening misunderstanding in practical application, namely,of the probability of the product of A and B is equal to the probability of A is equivalent to Event A is included in B,in respect of determining whether there is an inclusion relationship between these two events, due to failing to properly understand what zero-probability is not necessarily an impossible event and one-probability is not necessarily a certain even mean. This paper is also to analyze the reasons for this misunderstanding by providing some illustrations.
