Digital Image Encryption via A Truncated Baker Transformation

The application of a truncated baker transformation to digital image is proposed. First, the definition and character of a truncated baker transformation are explained; Image encryption based on truncated baker transformation is done; Encrypted image and key are transmitted from public passage and secret passage independently. Decrypted algorithm is opposite to the encrypted algorithm. Examinations show that truncated baker transformation has the good statistical character and preliminary results are satisfactory.
