Recovery of deleted files within Linux EXT2 file system
Li-Dong Cai · Journal of Jinan University · 2004
The recovery of deleted files within Linux EXT2 file system is investigated. The process (of file) deletion and the related Linux source codes are analyzed, with reference to EXT2 file system, (particularly) its most important data structure ext2-inode so as to find key information for the deleted files. Two methods for recovering them are then proposed, which can be implemented in the ways either by hand or, much better, by software tools.
