A Method of Fault Diagnosis of Electronic Ballast Based on Rough Set Theory

Rough set theory was introduced into the fault diagnosis of electronic ballast,and a fault diagnostic method for electronic ballast based on rough set theory was proposed.The computation complexity was greatly reduced by decreasing the dimensions of universe.Useful decision rules were extracted through attribute reduction and value reduction.The real case analysis showed that,by application of rough set theory,clear and concise diagnostic rules could be acquired.This new method could improve the ability of fault diagnosis and would be useful for online quality control practice.
