An approach for learning OWL ontology from relational database

Based on the formal definitions of relational database schema and OWL ontology,the approach follows a set of universal mapping rules from a relational database schema to an OWL ontology.Prototype tool implementation based on Java 2 platform and case study demonstrate the effectiveness of the approach.
