On the Research of Information Integration in Text Reading

Information integration is the current focus of reading study.Although there are some common views,there exist such controversial theories as the constructivist theory,the minimalist hypothesis and the memory-based text processing view.This paper introduces these three theories and the experiments they are based on,and analyzes the development of the controversies.It also offers some suggestions for further research in this area.
