Cognitive Foundations of the Classifier KOU an d its Syntactic Behaviors

The classifier KOU probably has ten o r more meanings in Num -Cl -Noun structures and they constrain its syntacti c behaviors. My approach is from analy sis to synthesis. Basing on one by one inves tigation, we want to discover their cognitive foundations and motivations. We pr opose that the prototype of KOU is c ontainer schema, and its many other usages a re derived from it and that its cogn itive motivations relate to vision stimulat ions, functions and measure relations.
