Research of Improved PLML Application in Model-based User Interface Development

PLML is an important tool for the description of user interface, but it exist some shortcomings. One of the important shortcomings is that its implementation element don't be define clearly, which causes the problem that it is difficult for the design pattern it describes to apply automatic or semi-automatic in model-based user interface development. Aiming at this problem, the XML Schema for the implementation element of PLML was designed. In the schema, this element's formal description method was specifically given. By a case study, it is proven that this method could have an active function in model-based user interface development. This method can also apply to the others pattern description languages.
