Design and Implementation of an ID Card Recognition System

In order to recognize an ID card automaticallyt,his paper designs and implements an ID card recognition system with the module of database.The system can recognize the characters in ID card images,which can also specify the personal particular identity information on-time by contrasting the recognition result in the ID card database.By this wayt,he system can tell whether the ID card is true or not.The system shows high accuracy in the recognition of ID card number by experimental results.If the ID card image is cleari,t can also be used to read the ID card information because it can recognize the Chinese characters accurately as well.The system can be widely used in a hotel,an airport,a station,a bank and a hospital etc.
