Level Set Method and computation of compressible multi-fluid flows

It is a key for the problems of compressible multi-materials to capture accurately the position of material interfaces at different times.Thereby the problems of compressible multi-materials can be spitted into several single-material problems.Level Set Method using the Level Set function to keep track of the interface motion,automatically handles the interface that undergoes topological changes,the brief Method has another advantage of handling the large deformation problem easily.In this paper,level set method was successfully applied in 2-d compressible multi-materials problems.
