VPN-Past and Present

With the rapid increase of Internet browsing, more and more users have got unsatisfied with traditional service of Internet access because of inflexibility of service, lacking of access quality insurance, poor in mechanism of security and authorization and the complexity of user interface. All of these factors conduced the emergence of VPN. VPN has provided a kind of low cost fundamental equipments for all kinds of corporations, enhanced the functions of their networks, expanded the areas that their exclusive networks could be implemented. So far as we know, there are several steps of development of VPN. Here we have reviewed the corresponding technologies of these steps and discussed the prospect of VPN.
