In cognitive radio environment, the useful spectrum has the characteristics of distributing widely,non-continuously and changing dynamically. A communication system adapted to the spectrum characteristic is designed to solve the problem of data transmitting. First, the paper senses the spectrum of the electromagnetic environment dynamically, estimates the spectrum information, and then deactivates the system subcarriers according to spectrum information, chooses NC-OFDM as data transmitting technology to transmit data with the subcarriers which are not used by primary users. When communication environment changes, the work is to verify whether the system can estimate current spectrum information exactly. Finally, the BER performances of NC-OFDM and NC-MC-CDMA are simulated and the results are discussed and analyzed. The results indicate that:NC-OFDM can be adapted to the characteristic of the spectrum in cognitive radio, and has a better BER performance than NC-MC-CDMA.
