Performance Testing and Application Research of FMO Mode in H.264

FMO is a new video error resilience technology in H.264.In this paper,the implement principle of Flexible Macroblock Ordering(FMO) and setting parameters of H.264 official test code JM86 baseline profile are analyzed.A new setting method of macroblock allocation mapping is put forward.Codec efficiency and error resilience capability of various FMO modes are tested by selecting several standard video test sequence and simulation channel packet loss mode.The results show that difference characteristic FMO mode can be used to difference communications condition in video signal processing and transmission.Research results have important valuable reference in practical application of H.264.
