Proposed in R5 version of 3GPP,IP Multimedia Subsystem(IMS) is a subsystem that can support IP multimedia services.Superimposed on the packet switching network,IMS is a part of 3G core network and is responsible for multimedia communication in 3G system via IP network.Based on the current situation, this paper presents an identity-based cryptosystem inter-domain key agreement protocol for IMS networks. The security analysis shows that the mutual authentication between IMS cross-domain communication entities can be realized, and the key negotiation capabilities for the transmission of subsequent media streaming can be provided. The prospects of IP multimedia subsystem in the power system is also discussed in the paper.
