Cognitive Radio and Spectrum Management

The current spectrum management adopts stationary spectrum allocation policy.The spectrum resources are allocated to the stationary authorized user,which leads to the waste of the spectrum resources.Cognitive Radio technology is an intelligent radio communication technology,which can greatly improve the system spectrum efficiency and resolve the problem of current deficiency of spectrum resources.Cognitive Radio technology will influence the policy of the current spectrum management.In this paper, the basic concepts of cognitive radio and spectrum management technology were introduced.Then some advice was presented for spectrum management under cognitive radio.
