Sounding Application of ATEM Instrument in Changchun Active Fault

The paper analyzed the existing form and the characteristics of electromagnetic noise in Changchun City.Then discussed the influence of electromagnetic noise to the city active fault detection.Because of the limitations of urban environments,the length of transmitter loop was limited.Several methods were put forward such as increasing the transmitting current,signal overlap-add and the technology of enlarging by stage etc to suppress the electromagnetic noise,so as to ensure the validity of survey.Better effect was obtained from the active fault detection in Yitong River and Caijia of Changchun City with ATEM instrument developed by Jilin University.
