A pipeline security monitoring method based on the seismic signal detection and processing was proposed aiming at the oil and gas pipeline peripheral security problem. When the ground was impacted the produced seismic signals were acquired by the detecting system composed of geophones and processing unit.Because of the eigenvalue frequencies and characteristic energy difference existing in the signals produced by different object impacts, these signals were processed using the time-frequency analysis method of wavelet transformation to get the time differences when the different target eigenvalue frequencies appearing in different sensor signals.According to the time difference and relative position between the sensor array and invasion target, the spacial location of invading target can be realized. The detection method above was verified through the outside experiments and data analysis.
