A Fast H.264 Intra Prediction Algorithm

H.264/AVC is a new generation of video coding standard.It makes use of rate distortion optimization algorithm to improve the efficiency of compression,but the computational complexity of encoding increases dramatically.To reduce computational complexity,the paper presents a new intra prediction algorithm selection.This algorithm makes use of MAD(Mean Absolute Differences) value to predict 4×4 macro blocks or 16×16 macro blocks,then reduces the forecast model of 4×4 macro blocks according to SATD(Sum of Absolute Transformed Difference)Features.According to Experiment results,the premise of ensuring PSNR prediction time is saved effectively..
