Research of Web Usage Mining

With the increase of resource on Web, how to get the needed information with efficient methods is becoming an important issue what the researchers must face. Web data mining is a new research field, which applies the traditional data mining technologies and theories to the resource on Web. This paper introduces the concepts and classification of web data mining, and discusses the basic principles, methods and procedure of web usage mining, as well as points out the valuable research directions in the future on web usage mining.
