Strategy for Connection of Ad Hoc with Internet Using Dynamic Gateways

Mobile Ad Hoc (MANET) is an autonomous network without fixed infrastructures. Integration of MANET with Internet can extend the application of MANET, realize resource sharing, expand the coverage area of network. In this article, a three-layer approach to integrate these two types of networks is proposed. This approach is based on the use of dynamic gateways as an interface between MANET and the Internet. Finally, with the aid of several simulation experiments, the performance of dynamic gateway approach has been obviously improved.
