Design and Implementation of a Control System for Ring Shear Apparatus

Large ring shear apparatus is used to investigate the maximum soil deformation and shear strength.The large high speed ring shear apparatus acquisition system and control system Jilin University are still using the DOS disk operating system which makes the data acquisition control and data results show extremely inconvenient.In this paper,Windows operating system was used in the design of the acquisition and control system for the ring shear apparatus.The control system was designed using digital-to-analogue conversion circuit in order to realize the voltage control function.The acquisition system was designed using multiple analog-to-digital conversion circuit in order to realize data storage and data transmission.And the upper computer control and display system was designed using LabVIEW system to realize waveform real-time display.Simulation experiment verifies that the ring shear apparatus measurement control system can output the upper machine set voltage and convert multiple sensor signals to upper computer storage and display.
