Eigenfactor and Journal Evaluation

Eigenfactor is a new indicator for evaluation of journals,which is launced by Thomson Reuters in the newly released enhanced edition of JCR,including eigenfactor score and article influence score.The paper introduces the eigenfactor in detail,including its concept,working principle,calculation methods and formulas.It also discusses the difference between the eigenfactor and impact factor by using the core journals in the medical informatics area as examples.
