On the Segmental Errors in R,ead English Speech by English Majors——A corpus-based study

Based on the error analysis, with the aid of phonetic annotation and analytical software——Praat,segmental errors found in thirty English majors' sound records selected from RESCCL(Read English Speech Corpus of Chinese Learners)are discussed and studied in such five aspects as pause,vowels,consonants, stress and habitual mistakes.Attempts are also made to search for reasons of segmental errors and suggestions are given on such basis.
