Software for fault tree analysis

Presents the overall structure, function and implementation of fault tree analysis software system (FTAS), which creates the fault trees in the graphic way for users to choose from analyses. Minimum cut sets can be obtained through qualitative analysis run with FTAS, probabilities of failure and three degrees of importance for basic events can be obtained through quantitative analysis run with FTAS. FTAS can take many factors into consideration and processes, it can deal with different sorts of fault trees at high speed.
