High dimensional chaotic sequences have several good properties, such as pseudo-randomness, certainties and extremely sensitivity to initial conditions and system parameters. It is widely used in image encryption. The drawback is that the encryption time is slow and security is low. An image encryption technique base on kernel method is proposed to improve the performance. First, the kernel matrix is constructed which uses XOR instruction of binary sequence. Second, the high dimension chaos system is initialized to get the high dimension chaos sequences by using the discrete system iteration equation. At last, the value of chaos sequences and gray value of the original image can be used as indices to find the encrypted value. The experimental results indicate that the algorithm is effective, especially for images encryption.
