Research progress and prospect of web mining based on soft computing

The basic components,types,and current states of Web mining were summarized.The limitations of some of the existing Web mining methods and tools were pointed out.A survey of the application and progress on soft Web mining was provided.Web data,being inherently unlabeled,imprecise,heterogeneous,and dynamic,appears to be a very good candidate for its mining in the soft computing framework.Besides,context-sensitive and approximate queries,personalization and learning seem to be the good way in soft computing.The prospects of Web mining based soft computing is broad and inspiring.
