A Current-Mode Buck Regulator
Yuqiang Wu · China Integrated Circuit · 2008
A novel inductor current-sensing circuit is presented in this paper, the proposed current-sensing circuit does not need an amplifier as a voltage mirror, and thus fewer transistors are need and lower power consumption is achieved. It is used in a DC/DC buck converter, and we use the CSM 0.18 μmCMOS process to design and simulate the converter circuits. Simulation results show that the accuracy of current-sensing for the proposed circuit is up to 96%, and the output ripple voltage is just 1 mV.
