In this paper, two key techniques related to spatial data mining, that is, spatial data warehousing and the algorithms of spatial data mining are discussed. The existing methods for spatial data mining are presented, and their application fields proposed. Finally, status and progress of geographic data mining and knowledge discovery are analyzed?
