Fault Diagnosis for Substation Based on Artificial Neural Network

A method of fault diagnosis for substation based on artificial neural network is introduced in the paper.It takes advantage of the powerful robustness and learning ability of artificial neural network to diagnose the faulty component in the substation.The simulation results show that the method can exactly diagnose the faulty component when the protection and switch act correctly,as well as when the protection and switch refuse to act.
