Design of Web-based Mass-Storage Flexible Distributed File Server

This paper analyzes the disadvantage of the old distributed file servers and presents a soluton to a Web based mass storage distributed file server on the platform of J2EE.The distributed file server consists of one central control unit and multiple local file servers.The central control unit manages the logic information of the files as a whole.The local file servers,located in the different nodes of the Web,manage the physical data of the files.
