Fast Motion Estimation Arithmetic Based on H.264

In an H.264 video encoder,motion estimation is the most time-consuming component.According to the spatial and temporal correlations among the video sequences,this paper puts forward a fast prediction-based search arithmetic.Then this paper proposes a fast judging modes algorithm in terms of the correlation of 7 kinds of prediction modes.Experimental results show that by introducing the proposed algorithm can increase the encoding speed by more than 25% at most with little degradation in rate distortion performance.
