For the problems that Structural Health Monitoring(SHM) system has the field nodes with fixed functions, which makes it difficult for flexible configuration and post-maintenance,this paper proposes a reconfigurable architecture for SHM system based on CAN bus. Some reconfigurable techniques are designed including node function reconfiguration, network structural reconfiguration and resource allocation reconfiguration. The functional reconfiguration of nodes is realized by collaboration of the hardware which is functional adaptation interface and the software which is embedded operation system. The self-organizing feature map net is used for the priority clustering of network structural reconfiguration. The resource allocation in accordance with the requirements is realized by the monitoring software based on the component object model technique. The system designed with this method has the abilities such as flexible, efficient and autonomy.
