Design of a General Data Access Framework for Log Interpretation Software

A general reference framework for the well log data access is proposed based on the object-oriented methodology and design patterns to resolve the data access problem in development of well log interpretation software.The framework is mainly composed of two parts: an object-level Application Programming Interface(API) and a data driver layer.The design and implementation of the framework are discussed and its application effect is analyzed and evaluated.The software development efficiency is improved and the software quality is enhanced by reusing the framework in the well log software projects.It is a reference to developing the new well log interpretation software,reconstucting the current softwares and the standardization of the well log data access Application Programming Interface.
