Design of X-band Phase-Lock and Mixing Frequency Synthesizer

The paper puts forward a design method of X-band low phase noise and spurs frequency hopping synthesizer used by some IFF system.P-band DPLL forms the base hopping signal,by choosing equipments meticulously and optimizing loop filter to improve the performance of phase noise and spurs,which will be further mixed with X-band single frequency to form the finally required frequency.Test results show that the synthesizer hopping speed is less than 90 μs,phase noise is below-91 dBc/Hz@10 kHz and spurs below-72 dBc.
