Effects of Microwave Treatment on Dynamic Wettability of a Poplar Lumber Surface

Dynamic wettability of water and glycerol on the poplar lumber surface treated with microwave processing and untreated was analyzed.Results showed that microwave treatment had a certain influence on the dynamic wetting properties of the poplar lumber surface.The poplar lumber surface treated with microwave obtained higher wettability than the untreated one.Under the same processing,the dynamic wettability of a poplar lumber surface changed with intensity and time of microwave treatment,which generally increased firstly,then decreased.
