The pathogeny,symptoms and infection cycle of maize rough dwarf virus disease,the identification methods of resistance,and the status of disease resistance breeding were introduced.Utilizing genetic resistance of maize resource to select the disease-resistant varieties was the key way.The breeding direction were prospected.
