The present paper consists of five sections:1)Introduction;2)History and main research subjects of AI;3)Progress in research on the kernel problem of AI;4)In- telligent control system;5)Conclution.In this paper we propose using the principle of AI,especially the idea of expert consulting system,to solve the difficulties en- countered in identification and control of complex and large system and to build a new-type control system——intelligent control system.
