Study and Application of Network Properties of Folksonomy

Folksonomy is a new kind of information organization methods emerging in Web2.0 environment.This paper analyzed network properties of folksonomy.Based on the dataset of social bookmarking site delicious,two fundamental characteristics were discovered: the small world effect and scale free property.Community structures of tag network were discovered by a new clustering algorithm,which would help to discover latent semantic information and build hierarchies of flat folksonomy.
