The quality of reviewing contributions is directly related to the published quality of scientific journals. In view of working practicing on reviewing contributions of agricultural sci-tech periodical, the paper summary and probe into the duties, requirements and processes of manuscripts about initial evaluation of sci-tech periodical editors, and finally it puts forward some ways to improve the reviewing ability of editors.
