Selection and Validation of Drug Targets

Selection and validation of novel molecular targets have become of paramount importance in drug discovery. Many new potential therapeutic drug targets have emerged from human gene sequencing with the development of molecular biology.Thus, with several thousand targets available, targets selection and validation have become the most critical task and will continue to be in the future. This review addresses these as well as several technological advance needed in drug discovery process.
