Automatic Identification of Digital Modulation Signals Using High Order Cumulants
Xiao Xian-Ci · Electronic Warfare Technology · 2004
The automatic modulation identification for communication signals is a still important problem in the intercepted signal processing. This paper proposes a new feature based on high order cumulants for the identification of digital modulation signals, which can suppress the Gaussian white noise, and identify five digital modulation signals: 2ASK、4ASK、4PSK、2FSK and 4FSK. This identification is illuminated and verified using simulation experiments and actual sampling data.
