Application of SPAD Value on N Nutritional Diagnosis and Fertilization Recommendation

Nitrogen fertilizer insufficiency had a great limitation to the maize production.It can improve economic and ecological benefit of maize production by adjusting nitrogen fertilizer input according to corn growth and nutrition requirement.Chlorophyll meter,a portable instrument,was often used in N nutritional diagnosis and fertilization recommendation in recent years.It can provided data for variable-rate fertilization by monitoring the nitrogen nutrition of plant quickly,simply,accurately and non-destructively.This paper summarized the studies of application of the chlorophyll meter on N nutritional diagnosis and fertilization recommendation,and interpreted the main factors influencing the judgment of N nutritional diagnosis and corresponding solution.Moreover,the emphasis of the study on N nutritional diagnosis by using SPAD value was analyzed.
