Diagnosis of insulation malfunction in power transformer based on Rough Set theory

A new method used to identify power transformer insulation malfunction based on rough set theory is proposed.With this method power transformer malfunction can be known based on incomplete symptom information.Not only the accurate diagnosis can be obtained directly from the set of complete fault samples,but also the satisfactory diagnosis results can be got from the set of incomplete fault samples by using this method.The inherent redundancy of the fault information is revealed.The effectiveness of the approach has been verified by the diagnosis results of some examples.
