Zheng-Yi Chai · 2007
As increasing cases of data exposure and database breach threaten more organizations, auditing is playing an increasingly important role in the areas of compliance, privacy, and security. Satisfying compliance regulations such as Sarbanes-Oxley and mitigating the risks associated with the insider threat are among the top security challenges. This paper presents the design and implementation of database security gateway based on Oracle database for auditing. As a flexible and integrated solution, it provides supervisors the ability of monitoring, surveillance and information forensics. It also helps enterprises enforcing the Trust-But-Verify principle.
