Comparison and Simulation of Two Schemes for System-Level Fault Diagnosis Based on Federated Filtering

WU Xunzhong · Electronics Optics & Control · 2009

Base on the characteristics of federated filtering structure, comparison and analysis are made between two schemes for system-level fault diagnosis in the SINS/GPS/ADS/TANCAN/RADAR integrated navigation. The two schemes are: 1) a two-stage fault detection technique based on measurement consistent and the Chi-square test;and 2) a dual-state recursive fault detection method.Simulation is made through faults setting. The result showed that the fault detection approaches are effective to improve the fault-tolerance and reliability of integrated navigation system. The two schemes can detect hard and soft faults effectively with high detection sensitivity. But both of them have some false or missed detections, the two-stage fault detection technique is better than the other one.
