Study of Speed-Flow Relationships Model on Urban Individual Freeway Lanes

Based on the model, not only the law of speed changing with flow might be obtained, but also the lane capacity might be fixed.Researchers have brought out lots of models.This paper mainly studies speed-flow relationships model on urban individual freeway lanes. Based on the analysis of vehicles operation characters, taken the speed-flow curve characters and power expo- nential function characters together,a new speed-flow model is obtained by modifying the traditional power exponential function.Also,the free speed value is ob- tained by using rank correlation analysis method.The field data analysis result shows that the new model is well to fit the speed-flow relationship.
