Scheme of Interworking Softswitch with No.7 Signaling System in GSM Network

The No.7 signaling and softswitching network based on IP are firstly described in this paper, at the same time, several adaptation protocols are put forward. Then the earlier scheme of introducing softswitching equipment as local MSC in GSM network is presented, which adopts M3UA protocol, with SG’s working as the way of signaling transfer point. Because of the shortcoming of M3UA in reelecting routing mechanism, the three detailed ways of reelecting routing are analysed, and the third one is considered as a prior way in the earlier period. At last, the future of large-scale network which is based on IP technology is predicted.
